Parents Association
The role of any Parents association is to work alongside the school's Principal, Staff and Board of Management to bridge the gap between home and school.
In this sense, we are a link between the school and the parents of the children that attend it and affiliated with the National Parents Council.
Calry PA endeavours to be a positive liaison between all parents and the school.
At the start of an average school year the PA organises an AGM, Shoe Box collections, Christmas Cards for Schools, the Christmas raffle and fund supplies of The Homework Diaries.
Now that restrictions have begun to ease, we hope to be able to have in person meetings in the school to arrange fund raising ideas so that events like the End of year Fun Day can go ahead.
To date Calry PA have raised funds for the school through Bag Packing, raffles and competitions.
This allows us to cater for events like Grandparents Day as well as part fund the new Smart Screens and Laptops in the classrooms & organise relevant talks for parents e.g. dealing with anxiety in children, bullying and internet safety.
This year we also hope to help re stock the school library.
We are a voluntary, sociable and very informal group and are always happy receive new, fresh ideas and welcome anyone who would like to join as a member.
